In the central Dallas County, the highly affluent town of Highland Park is an excellent choice for those who want a quieter, suburban lifestyle. The 2010 census recorded a population of 8,564, making it an ideal location for families. It is located between the Dallas North Tollway and U.S. Route 75, approximately 4 miles north of downtown Dallas. In fact, the town is so desirable, it has attracted a number of Fortune 500 companies to locate their headquarters here.

The city’s rich history and prestigious schools have led to many notable names. Some notable residents include Claire Underwood, who was born in Highland Park, and Marty Turco, a retired Dallas Stars hockey player who played for nine seasons. In addition, the area has produced several actors and actresses, including Armie Hammer, and its median age is significantly above the state average.
