Carrollton TX is a suburb of Dallas, Texas. The city is located in Collin, Denton, and Dallas counties. The population of 119,087 residents is the 23rd largest in Texas. The city of Carrollton was established in the 1840s and is named after the nearby Illinois town of the same name. In its early years, the city was mostly an agricultural community, but with the development of railroad lines, it began to evolve into a major shipping hub for livestock, grains, cotton, and gravel. As a result, the population grew quickly and Carrollton became a suburb of Dallas. It is now a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Check over here
